Veggiehash has no members – every Veggiehash run is a loose gathering of like-minded hashers from diverse chapters across Malaysia. Veggiehash is run by four of the six original founders and everyone pays only RM10.00 for the run which includes dinner. All are welcome. Dogs and children (provided they are accompanied by adult hashers) are okay depending on the run location. If in doubt, please check with Tarzan on 012 222 2209.
As usual, please bring a change of clothes, bathing water if you want to bathe and chairs or stools if you don’t want to stand. If it’s the rainy season, don’t forget your hash raincoat or umbrella. Feel free to pass on this info to anyone who may be interested in hashing. If you’re a new hasher or are unfit, understand what a hash run entails before attempting the run on your own. Always sign out (and sign in when you return) so we’ll know if anyone’s lost.

- Veggiehash Run 54 by Rooster
- July 4, 2010 Sunday 5.30pm
- Taman Duta (near Seri Duta 1 condo)
(Google Map from Dataran Merdeka)
GPS Lat: N 3° 9′ 26” Lon: E 101° 40′ 25”
- Damage: RM10.00 includes dinner
- Beers: RM10.00 for 3 cans or BYO
It was Rooster’s Fourth of July Birthday Run and what a crowd! Nearly 70 hashers congregated in Tarzan’s humble abode in Taman Duta. Some hashers called it the best Veggie run ever – only because the trail was short, interesting and sweet. The first runners were back by 6.40pm and the last few trickled in at 7.10pm. Beers were flowing and a special spread by caterer Hasheel Sidhu welcomed the ever hungry hashers. The Klang Club boys made their maiden voyage into the culture of Veggiehash. Perhaps next time they will run as well! Thank you Rooster for giving out the surprise goodies.

June 25th, 2010
Four Veggiehashers, Tarzan & Jane, Jack and Jill signed up for the 2000th run celebrations hosted by the Penang Harriettes from June 25 to 27, 2010. The highlight event was the Saturday Ballbreaker run which everyone thought would be easier than the one organised by Penang Hash last December. How wrong they were. This was one grueling ballbreaker! Only about 60 hashers out of the nearly 500 sign-ups for the main event dared to take on the ballbreaker challenge. Only half that number finished “more or less”. Only 15 or half of that number finished 100% on paper. Our very own Jane was one of them – bravo! Tarzan, Jack and Jill only managed to finish 75% of the trail. Unfortunately for the Penang Harriettes, their ballbreaker trail was sabotaged by some unsavory parties. Kudos to the Harriettes and the hares responsible for the amount of effort and care taken to put together one very fine red dress run & dinner on Friday. 4 different run on Saturday and one washout run and lunch/tea on Sunday. A marvelous job!

- Veggiehash Run 53 by Buffalo Gan
- June 6, 2010 Sunday 5.30pm
- Penchala Link PJ
(Google Map from Dataran Merdeka)
GPS Lat: N 3° 9′ 40” Lon: E 101° 37′ 43”
- Damage RM10.00 includes dinner
- Beers RM10.00 for 3 cans or BYO
Run 53 was a well-attended run with over 40 hashers. After the pictures were taken, another dozen or so latecomers waltzed in. Buffalo and his able co-hares set a killer of a run. Warnings were issued before the run that the second hill would be challenging and about half the hashers decided to tackle this killer second hill. Dr. Gila was initially the first runner back after 40 minutes. He realised he missed the second hill and was promptly escorted back in a 4×4 to finish off the second hill which was specially dedicated to him. A special mention surely must go out to first-time hasher Niran who decided to do the second hill and whilst finding this run impressively tough, he’s glad he did it. By the way, he was the last runner out at 8pm. Circle was called by Tarzan at 8.30, sinners punished, hares rewarded and the like. Dinner was served at 9pm. A special thank you to Sharon for thoughtfully bring along vegetarian porridge for the hungry hashers. A couple of possible homicides were prevented after Tarzan pacified Dennis Khoo who was angry at some hashers’ pronunciation of Penchala which made it seem like Menjalara. Apparently that’s where he was circling for more than an hour looking for the run site. Easy on, Dennis!
