Makati Metro Manila Hash House Harriers 100th Run Anniversary
The 100th Run will be held 11 March 2012 preceded by Run #99 on 10 March.
10 March Run will be a city run with three beer stops and a final stop for circle and then on on dinner at a local microbrewery. Meetup location is Heckle and Jeckle Pub on Polaris Street at 5:30PM. Cost for this run is 250 pesos men and 100 pesos women payable before start of run which includes beer stops and beer at circle. Microbrew beer and on on dinner is pay as you go individually at the pub after the circle. Optional after dinner pub crawl through Makati’s nightlife available pay as you go. To find the meetup point, from Gloreatta Mall in Makati, travel down Makati Avenue, cross Paseo de Roxas, cross Buen Dia, then turn right onto Jupiter, take an immediate left onto Polaris, go 50 meters and find Heckle and Jeckle on your left side. This is an A to B run. We will have a sweeper to get all to the end, not too far for the week of leg, and there will be a bag wagon to take your hash bags.
The 11 March 100th Run will include the run, beer, t shirt, and local dinner. (sodas and water available). Cost will be 600 pesos men and 300 pesos women for this run. Meetup point will be at Heckle and Jeckle Pub on Polaris again at 12 noon for the run; we will depart by 12:15 sharp to head for the run site in the semi urban countryside outside Manila. Hash mismanagement will be taking preregistration for this run starting at the AGM run on 15 Jan so bring your money then. Out of towners can pre register but don’t have to pay until the weekend at the run start either Sat 10 Mar before 99th run or at the 100th run itself. We are trying to make it cheap and easy for out of towners so you don’t have to worry about bank transfers etc. If you are from out of town, however, please do email kmarshment@hotmail.com and let us know you are coming with a t shirt size so we can have shirts for you. If you decide to cancel also tell me that. Asking out of towners to confirm they are coming by 31 Jan – again, no advance money, we’ll take you at your word! We will be asking all who can drive to do so and also help with rides at Heckel and Jeckle as is our norm. We also plan to have a bus of some type to handle the overflow. Bus costs paid by excess hash cash from the previous year which is why run cost is kept low. There will be a long and short run option. Information about the tentative run site follows this note.
