Over 60 hashers turned up on this weather-threatening day! The run was started off at 5.35pm and it started along Jalan 5/4 towards the hanging bridge. Just ten minutes into the run, the rains came barging down. Yes, it was a mini typhoon! Naturally half the runners dropped out and the many of the other half took their own routes or short cuts. Only about a dozen hashers completed the hare’s full trail. The first runner on paper came out at 7.10pm. Dinner and drinks were served at Tarzan’s new house along Jalan 5/4. A delectable menu was catered on site and when the rains finally abated at 8pm, the party went on full swing. A staggering 12 crates of beer and 3 litres of whiskey were consumed more than twice the normal! Thank you to all the hashers and GMs who came for the party inspite of the unforgiving weather. On a disturbing note, there are ample rumours and allegations flying around that one of the contestants played dirty and/or cheated by using multiple proxies and of some non-existent chapters and inspite of that, they were trumped into a convincing loss. We say boo to cheaters and liars – avoid them like the plague.

One wonders about this new trend where losers still have their ‘alternate’ function as a pre lube or post lube. This is a disturbing trend as it signifies a sore loser – if I can’t do PanAsia, I will do my own version! One wonder what kind of party such losers will give you. Perhaps in future, before you sign up and pay ask them if the entry fee is refundable should they lose the bid.
